POLS 4341 - Human Rights

Helpful Hints

In addition to writing down the location and call number, remember to check the "Status" column before you go to the shelf. Some books are not on the shelf because they are checked out or recently returned.

If you are working from off-campus, you can request that a book be pulled and held for you.  While looking at the record for individual books, you will find a Request button.  Select that and provide your NetID and NetID password.  It may take up to 24 hours for the book to be pulled and tagged for you.

If you cannot find a book you are looking for, please ask for assistance at the Circulation Desk.

A Note About Finding Books

Books on human rights can be searched in the online catalog using several Library of Congress (LC) Subject Headings.

Possible subject headings include:

  • Human Rights
  • Human Security
  • Sexual Rights
  • Women's Rights

WorldCat: Searching Other Libraries' Catalogs

If the UALR Ottenheimer Library does not have the books you need, it is possible to search libraries across the country for books of interest using WorldCat.   It is recommended that you begin searching in WorldCat with the same terms used in our catalog, expecting a much larger set of results.

Materials found in WorldCat can be requested via Interlibrary Loan.
