NCBI Resources

Since many of you are considering or will be pursuing graduate school, you should be aware of the free resources available from the National Library of Medicine via the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). A number of NCBI information sources may also be helpful in your day-to-day practice as a nurse.

You can access hundreds of free articles through PubMed Central via the Literature tab.

There are a number of other resources that might be helpful, such as:

Bookshelf - Books and reports from credible organizations/agencies on a variety of medical and health topics, many which are pertinent to nursing

PubMed Health - Provides clinical effectiveness reports for health professionals, as well as easy-to-read materials for patients.
