When searching the UALR Ottenheimer Library online catalog, the Library of Congress (LC) Subject Headings uses Sex Offenders or Sex Crimes.  It might also be helpful to focus on the sex or age of the victim or the criminal.

Among possible topics would be:

  • Child Molesters
  • Rapists
  • Female Sex Offenders
  • Teenage Sex Offenders

The concept of Sex Offenders can also be narrowed by geographic areas, like nations or states. 

 

Reference Sources

Reference sources, located on the 4th and 5th floors of the UALR Ottenheimer Library, are not available to check out. You are welcome, however, to make photocopies.

Below ain one example of  ageneralized and subject-specific reference source. While there are no titles specifically aimed at sex offenses, there will be articles in this larger work on crime.  Check for entires in books shelved nearby as well.

There will be times when your topic of interest is not well represented in the book collections of the UALR Ottenheimer Library. That is not a reason to give up. It just requires that you search other libraries for materials and possibly request them via Interlibrary Loan.
