The Theodor Seuss Geisel Award has been presented annually since 2006 under the supervision of the Association for Library Service to Children.  It is given to the artist(s) and illustrator(s) of the most distinguished contribution to beginning reader books for children published in the United States during the preceding year.  Honor books for this award may be found on the American Library Association website:
