The UALR Ottenheimer Library online catalog uses the Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) as the base for its subject searching.  The LCSH does not recognize Cultural Anthropology as a subject heading. In its place, Ethnology is used.

Possible subject headings include:

• Ethnology
• Ethnology - Africa
• Ethnology - Religious Aspects
• Ethnology - United States

If these terms are too broad, it is possible to to narrow the search to more specific terms like:

• Anthropology of Religion
• Economic Anthropology
• Indigenous Peoples

If the UALR Ottenheimer Library does not have the books you need, it is possible to search libraries across the country for books of interest using WorldCat. It is recommended that you begin searching in WorldCat with the same terms used in our catalog, expecting a much larger set of results.

Materials found in WorldCat can be requested via Interlibrary Loan.
