START HERE

Your professor has given you the identifying information, including title, journal, authors, date, and page numbers, for one or more articles for your Summary Paper(s).

The article(s) for your Summary Papers can be accessed online through the library.

The rest of this page will help you track down the article(s). Read the rest of this page BEFORE you start searching.

Locating the Articles

To locate the article(s), use Journals tab on the library webpage.

  • Enter the title of the journal, not the title of the article.
  • Under Full Text Access, compare and match the listed dates with the article year you need.
    • There may be more than one link that matches the article year you need. In that case, use any of the links as long as they match the article year AND do not include (Full Text Delay).
      • Important Note: A link that includes (Full Text Delay) means the the most recent issues are not included. Use the other link listed if you need an article from that journal in the last year.

Retrieving the Complete (Full-Text) Articles

After you have searched Journals and selected the link to access the journal online, follow these steps to obtain the complete article(s), or full text:

  • If you are off-campus, you will be prompted to enter your UA Little Rock email address (all of it) and password.

    • You may need to reset your password in BOSS.

    • You may also want to clear your cache and/or cookies in your browser

    • If you have trouble, use your First/last name (must match BOSS) and the 14 digit library number which is found on the back of your campus ID card or in your BOSS account.

  • Find a listing of issues. This listing is organized by year and may appear in the middle or right-hand column of the page.

  • Once you have located a listing of issues, find the individual article by using the year, volume, issue, and page numbers.
  • After you have found the individual article, choose the PDF link. Be sure you use the PDF link, not the Article link [if there is one]. The PDF link will give you the entire article, including page numbers.

TIPS: Make sure that you have the most current edition of Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer for articles to open in PDF format. Adobe Acrobat Reader is free to download.
