Use newspaper articles with care

Newspapers can be an excellent source of recent information and offer access to worldwide discussion of a topic, but they must be used with care.

Newspapers are not considered scholarly sources and will not be recognized as the same level of research by your instructors.  However, they can be the best source for up-to-date coverage of an issue or organization and often provide quotations from individuals working with or within a nonprofit group.
