POLS 4331 - International Organizations

Intergovernmental Organizations

Intergovernmental organizations range from very large cooperative groups covering a geographic area to smaller organizations focusing on a need or economic topic.  For ease in accessing lists, the options are broken down by geographic area: global organizations and regional organizations, which can be found in the links below to another guide

European Union

The European Union is the first option in the Europe category on the Regional Organizations page.   While a great deal of material is on the EU websites, additional materials are shelved in the Circulating Collection in Ottenheimer Library.  UALR's Ottenheimer Library is the only European Union depository in the State of Arkansas.

This unique status allows the library to receive one copy of most EU publications. The official publications contain information ranging from policy developments in all sectors of EU activity to statistics on trade, demographics, agriculture, transportation, energy, and economic indicators.  Materials can be searched in the online catalog.
