CSPS 7335: Field Research Methods in Public Service
This guide will provide a starting place for those in the Field Research Methods course at the Clinton School of Public Service. Interdisciplinary resources are also included to reflect the multifaceted area of research.
Use a thesaurus to find synonyms (this will give you more options when searching)
Use advance search features (helps to clearly outline your search)
Searches can be conducted by selecting either KEYWORD or SUBJECT; here you will simply type in the words you think of.
Use the "Controlled Vocabulary" feature (often at the top of the database page), usually labeled: thesaurus, dictionary, vocabulary, subject heading, etc.
If you search for more than 30 minutes, ask a librarian for help
