Federal Government Resources

The GPO Catalog of Government Publications indexes government publications from the U.S. Superintendent of Documents, the publisher of materials from all federal agencies. Those materials received by the Ottenheimer Library will be included in the library's online catalog.

FDsys provides free online access to official Federal Government publications. Through FDSys you are able to

  • Search for documents and publications with the ability to refine and narrow your search
  • Browse for documents and publications by collections, federal agency, Congressional committee, and date
  • Download documents and publication in multiple renditions or file formats

The CyberCemetery is an archive of government websites that have ceased operation (usually websites of defunct government agencies and commissions that have issued a final report).

USA.gov

As the U.S. government's official web portal, USA.gov makes it easy for the public to get U.S. government information and services on the web. USA.gov also serves as the catalyst for a growing electronic government.

All fifty state homepages are now linked as well as a growing number of county and city pages.  This will allow searching for local level laws and policies.

Including the word "statistics" in a search will focus on results that include data tables or reports with graphs and charts.
